We are hiring a Sr Software Engineer (Cloud Integrations) to be part of our growing IT Data Analytics, Engineering & Integration team, supporting SaaS business applications and working with other integration and systems engineers to scale our business operations.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Sr Software Engineer (Cloud Integrations), you will:

  • Develop integration infrastructure to enhance the operation and maintenance of our existing systems through iterative upgrades, streamlining, and adopting best practices.
  • Support company-level programs for transforming Databricks business processes and provide integration expertise and solutions.

The Impact You Will Have

You will play a pivotal role at Databricks by contributing to:

  • Design/Strategy: Design and support the application integration between multiple business applications and systems, developing high-availability integration architecture with future expansion in mind.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with business and application team members to gather data integration requirements.
  • Analytics: Analyze requirements for reporting and subsequently translate results into robust technical data designs, documenting and maintaining technical specifications for all processes.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 6+ years of software engineering expertise in implementing enterprise application integration solutions, application development, or related areas.
  • Programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or Scala.
  • 4+ years of experience in iPaaS such as Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, Workato, etc. preferred.
  • Knowledge of integration and middleware technologies (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, EDI).
  • Experience working with stakeholders to gather customer requirements and translate them into technical designs.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, development processes, and architecture.
  • Proficiency in modern SaaS DevOps and CI/CD tools and operating environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies for development, security, maintenance, operations, monitoring, and updates.

Good to Have

  • Experience in RDBMS, Distributed databases, and big data tools such as Apache Spark™.
