Job Title: Sr. Item Data Quality Analyst

As a Sr. Item Data Quality Analyst at Target, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, uniqueness, timeliness, and validity of item data. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing consistent item data quality measures, and implementing automated solutions to continuously monitor and enhance item data quality across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced data analysis techniques, data profiling, and data quality tools to detect complex patterns, trends, and anomalies in item data.
• Drive the development and execution of predictive analytics and measures for proactive data quality management.
• Collaborate closely with the data product and Data Sciences teams to integrate data quality processes, measures, rules, and workflows into existing and new solutions.
• Design, develop, and implement frameworks to streamline, automate, and steadily improve item data quality.
• Lead root cause analysis initiatives to pinpoint underlying item data quality issues and implement appropriate solutions to address them.
• Leverage technical proficiency with database systems and SQL for querying, analyzing, and manipulating data to understand item data quality issues and opportunities.
• Work closely with Sr. Item Data Stewards and Item Data Analysts to understand item data quality needs and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Support the Item Center of Excellence by addressing data quality needs and priorities, ensuring continuous improvement and delivering a positive guest experience.
• Develop solutions to evaluate and govern overall item data quality standards to meet enterprise-wide business needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Ecommerce, Catalogue Management, preferably in Data Quality.
• Extensive analytical aptitude with experience measuring and tracking key metrics.
• A passion for root-cause problem-solving and an ability to overcome obstacles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with analytics tools such as Python, R, Domo, or equivalent technologies.
• Strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data from various sources into actionable insights and recommendations.
• An understanding of data governance principles and industry best practices.
• Motivated by collaboration and cross-functional work.
