Role Overview

As a Senior Lead Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our analytics infrastructure. With a focus on supply chain processes, you will develop solutions to our data modeling and analytics technology needs.

You will work independently and make critical decisions on complex, cross-functional projects. You will be a subject-matter expert, providing technical guidance and influencing the execution of IT and analyst team projects. This role requires strong analytical, data modeling skills, and proficiency in SQL and/or Python.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Aligning Supply Chain stakeholders and IT to translate business requirements into scalable data and analytic solutions.
• Developing ETL pipelines for scalable and repeatable ETL work.
• Establishing best practices for tools, data, and analytics within SCDA.
• Designing specific tool implementations, focusing on Databricks, DBT performance, and cloud compute requirements.
• Setting patterns for efficient use of cloud compute resources.
• Ensuring quality and documentation standards for data models and code.
• Implementing data governance and master data management principles.
• Providing expertise on data and analytic technology for SCDA.
• Driving complex projects to success and enabling impactful change.
• Managing maintenance and quality control for data pipelines and products.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Decision Sciences, Engineering, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or similar fields.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and data modeling skills.
• Deep understanding of database technology and analytic platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python.
• Experience with developing and implementing data models for analytics.
• Moderate experience with cloud database architecture.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for system design and scalability.
• Attention to detail and a focus on creating impactful change.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications will set you apart:

• Master's Degree in MIS, Decision Sciences, Engineering, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or similar fields.
• Experience with the AWS big data technology stack.
• Extensive experience with Databricks, dbt, Alteryx, or similar ETL platforms.
• Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
• Experience implementing data governance principles.
