Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer, you will:

• Provide regular technical guidance and direction to support business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• Drive decisions affecting product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus across the function.
• Advocate for firm-wide frameworks, tools, and practices within the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Influence peers and project decision-makers to adopt and apply leading-edge technologies.
• Execute work in compliance with standards, risk, security, and business objectives.
• Consider system or technical implications upstream and downstream, advising on mitigation actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and technologists.
• Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

We are looking for someone with:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• 2+ years of experience in leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical issues.
• Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced knowledge in one or more programming languages like Java 11+ and Python.
• Experience in leading and managing technologists and projects.
• Strong knowledge of Unix and Linux operating systems.
• Considerable in-depth knowledge in technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Preferred candidates will also have:

• Practical cloud-native experience.
• Experience with Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes.
• Ansible open-source experience (a plus).
