Job Description

As a Sr Power BI Developer, you'll be pivotal in sculpting the future of our Business Intelligence landscape. Your expertise will enhance our operational excellence, enabling informed decision-making throughout our global firm.

Primary Functions & Essential Responsibilities

• Leading the design and development of tailor-made BI dashboards and reporting solutions in collaboration with end users and analysts.
• Guiding the full cycle of dashboard creation including coding, testing, and refinement.
• Developing and fine-tuning SQL, DAX, and M-Query scripts that lead to advanced data manipulation and analysis.
• Executing rigorous review and quality assurance of BI tools developed by peers.
• Detecting and rectifying complex system issues, contributing to seamless BI operations.
• Advancing team expertise in BI developments via mentorship and leading solution strategies.
• Managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD) processes.
• Maintaining up-to-date, detailed documentation of BI processes, user needs, and operational support activities.
• Designing and monitoring BI report subscriptions, automating report generation and distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field is required.
• Advanced certifications in Power BI strongly preferred.
• A minimum of five years’ experience specializing in data modeling, BI report development, and dashboard construction following best practices.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including its components and architecture, along with solid experience in SQL, DAX, and M-Query.
• Hands-on expertise with Power BI Service, SQL Server Reporting Services, and user permissions management.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum master skills are a definite plus.
• Prior experience in the finance sector and knowledge of Azure and Azure DevOps are advantageous.
