About the Role: Senior Process Engineer

As a Senior Process Engineer within Dexcom’s research and development organization, you'll be a crucial part of the material science center. Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and technicians to drive the development of next-generation CGM sensor membrane material technologies. This role is perfect for a passionate polymer engineer with expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of medical device materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and troubleshoot polymer synthesis, processing, and analytical testing equipment.
  • Design and execute IQ/OQ/PQ for new equipment and facilities.
  • Develop and optimize process parameters and testing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, and quality assurance.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and formal reports on process work.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment adhering to the 5S framework.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 5-8 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 2-5 years equivalent industry experience, or a PhD with 0-2 years experience.
  • Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in polymer synthesis and processing, ideally in medical device applications.
  • Expertise in polymer science, especially polyurethane-based coatings and water-based dispersions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot/repair equipment.
  • Experience with GMP, GLP, and ISO regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and proficiency with statistical analysis methods and tools.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
