Salary: $260,000 - $350,000 per year

Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Sr. Research Analyst to dive deep into Macroeconomic analyses focusing on Latin America. You will be vital in generating insightful investment conclusions for local rates and FX markets. This includes creating tactical trade ideas and strategic recommendations tailored for our client base covering both North and Latin America, as well as Europe and Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and publish research reports featuring views, forecasts, and actionable trade recommendations on local currency bonds, FX, and derivatives such as interest rate derivatives and FX options.
• Engage with the Emerging Markets Sales & Trading desk to develop insightful data points and trade ideas.
• Build and manage robust Latin America FX and rates analytics and quantitative models.
• Participate in regional client meetings, virtual conferences, and webcasts to fortify client relationships and present market insights.
• Contribute to team success by training junior members and leading initiatives to enhance diversity and inclusion within the industry.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with at least 5 years of experience.

Skills Required:

• Profound knowledge of Latin American macro/fixed income markets, including strategic investment ideation.
• Expertise in economic and financial databases such as Haver and Bloomberg, and statistical packages like Stata and Python.
• Experience in engaging institutional clients with strategic investment proposals, ideally gained in significant financial infrastructures such as the Central Bank, Ministry of Finance, or major financial institutions in Latin America.
