About the Role

As a key member of our Advanced Technology Group (ATG), you will propel Dolby into the future. ATG is dedicated to advanced research that charts the course for our technological evolution. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in high-level computer vision and deep learning to drive innovation. Your responsibility will extend from enhancing algorithmic frameworks to pioneering the next wave of neural network designs that will revolutionize computer vision technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and enhance competitive technologies within your focus area.
  • Develop conceptual models to validate new technologies.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including white papers, and share findings during internal presentations.
  • Uphold technical and ethical standards for Dolby in all environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • At least 3 years of experience in algorithm development for deep learning and computer vision.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab, C/C++, OpenCV, and Python, with a strong foundation in Tensorflow/Pytorch frameworks.
  • A solid background in AI technology applicable to image research and familiar with video processing systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to learn quickly and contribute to team success.

Desired Additional Experience

  • Experience in patent filing for new technologies.
  • Application of machine learning and computer vision algorithms to practical problems.
  • Recognized contributions to the field, including publications, research, or patents in video encoding and processing.

Compensation and Benefits

You’ll be offered a highly competitive salary range of $129,700 - $158,500, based on location and experience, along with bonuses, benefits, and potential equity.
