Join Maxar Technologies as a Product Support Engineer for One World Terrain (OWT) Program

Maxar Technologies is looking for a highly skilled Product Support Engineer to join our One World Terrain (OWT) program. This initiative provides the U.S. Army with cutting-edge 3D Terrain Data for the Army’s Synthetic Training Environment (STE). Our team leverages satellite imagery-based photogrammetry, advanced Machine Learning (ML), and high-performance computing (HPC) to deliver fully automated 3D Terrain Generation.

Role Overview

As a Product Support Engineer, you will collaborate directly with Maxar’s 3D terrain engineering and subcontractor teams. Your work will involve solving complex spatial problems and contributing to the OWT program, a key component of the U.S. Army’s STE modernization initiative. This program aims to provide a realistic, global geospatial dataset for simulation, mission command, and intelligence systems, facilitating collective training and operational readiness.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship eligible for U.S. SECRET security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or significant relevant experience
• 5+ years of direct software development experience
• 3+ years of experience in a highly regulated (DoD) software development environment
• Extensive knowledge of C / C++

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML
• Familiarity with AI and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms
• Comfortable working in both Linux and Windows environments
• Proficiency with geospatial transforms and various coordinate systems
• Experience with image processing
• Knowledge of 3D graphics rendering, game engine, or image generator technology
• Experience with HPC clustering, multi-threaded, multi-process, and GPU optimizations
• Acquainted with cloud computing and storage solutions
• Prior experience with DoD/Army simulations is highly desired

Compensation

Our salary ranges are market-driven and designed to offer flexibility, with individual pay being competitive based on a candidate’s unique knowledge, skills, and geographic location. The range for this position is $108,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually.
