About the Role

This is an invitation to join our dynamic Data Engineering Team as a Staff Engineer. Netskope is actively seeking talent across all levels to enhance our pioneering efforts in the domain of Data, Cloud, and Security. Your Impact & Contributions

• Design and develop services critical to Netskope products including data validation, transformation, loading, and analysis using distributed systems at cloud scale and reliability.
• Collaborate with other teams to architect applications leveraging Data team services, employing best practices for optimal outcomes.
• Initiate evaluations of open source technologies, making contributions where applicable, to determine the best solutions that meet our needs.
• Partner with Application Development and Product Management teams to scale underlying services and provide robust analytics for usage patterns and forecasts.
• Explore and implement reliable, large-scale enterprise services responsive to Netskope's goals and demands.

Skills and Experience Required

• Over 4 years of professional experience in developing highly scalable distributed data systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Golang coupled with expert knowledge in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with platforms and technologies such as Kafka, Kubernetes, MySQL, Hadoop, Big Query, and other open-source databases is essential.
• Ability to design and manage large, fault-tolerant distributed systems focused on columnar data stores.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Open-source contributions are highly regarded.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (BSCS) or a related field is required; a Master's Degree (MSCS) or equivalent is strongly preferred.
