Position: Sr. Software Engineer - Power BI

We are excited to hire Power BI Professionals with expertise in the following areas:

Experience

4-6 Years

Job Description

• 4 to 6 years of experience in Power BI and SQL
• Hands-on experience with scripting, data source integration, and advanced visual development in Power BI
• Knowledge of Tableau, Thoughtspot, Cognos, and Bobj is a plus
• Role-Based Access knowledge is advantageous
• Performance tuning of BI reports
• Excellent skills in writing Complex DAX Queries
• Strong SQL Server/PL SQL Database Skills, with expertise in complex queries, joins, functions, and procedures
• Deep understanding and ability to explain relational and multidimensional database design, OLTP, OLAP, KPIs, Scorecards, and Dashboards
• Proficiency in Data Modelling Techniques for Analytical Data (i.e., Facts, Dimensions, Measures)
• Excellent Business User communication skills

Required Technical Competencies

Requirement Gathering & Analysis:

• Specialized knowledge of requirement management processes and tools
• Ability to extract and document functional and non-functional requirements
• Analyse the impact of requested changes/enhancements/defects
• Develop traceability matrix for requirement management

Application Design:

• Understanding of design principles and performance engineering concepts
• Able to create UI/Design & business logic elements and navigation flow
• Document design in modeling notation and develop reusable design components

Architecture Tools & Frameworks:

• Knowledge of architecture industry tools and frameworks
• Identify pros & cons of tools available in the market

Estimation & Resource Planning:

• Understanding of estimation and resource planning techniques
• Identify and assign resources required to complete tasks

Technology/Product Knowledge:

• Specialized knowledge of product/platform technologies
• Implement and customize products, optimizing code, and adhering to design standards

Customer Management:

• Working knowledge of customer business domain technology suite
• Utilize latest technology in client engagement and communicate solutions effectively

Project Management:

• Understanding customer business domain and technology suite
• Proactively suggest solutions for additional business opportunities

Domain/Industry Knowledge:

• Knowledge of customer business processes and relevant technology platforms
• Prepare complex business models and drive process improvement initiatives
