Welcome to the WildFire Team within the Content Delivered Security Service (CDSS) organization. Our engineering and Security Research team is the heartbeat of our products, delivering top-notch security services in the cloud to thwart cyberattacks. We continuously innovate and challenge conventional cybersecurity methods.

As a vital member of our team, you will collaborate with researchers to implement projects that detect and defend against emerging threats. Your role will be integral in transforming innovative ideas into products that form part of the next-generation security platform. This position is based at our vibrant Santa Clara, California headquarters.

Job Description

Your Impact

• Track and research emerging malware families and develop innovative methods to identify malicious behaviors.
• Lead or participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirement analysis, architectural design, development, testing, deployment, and operations support.
• Write clean, testable, readable, scalable, and maintainable Python/C code that performs well for thousands of customers.
• Design and build cloud-native scalable systems.
• Clearly communicate goals and desired outcomes to internal project teams.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to continually improve systems.

Qualifications

Your Experience

• 4+ years of industry experience, including but not limited to malware analysis, detection, and reverse engineering.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, C, Golang.
• Experience with Docker and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and their technologies.
• Experience with malware analysis on MacOS/Linux/Android platforms is a plus.
• Good knowledge of machine learning models and experience in AI and data-driven approaches is a plus.
• Hands-on, can-do attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Comfortable working independently and efficiently.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
• BS/MS/PhD in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience.

The compensation for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates offered the position at the posted level, the starting base salary is expected to be between $125,100 and $185,000, with the possibility of restricted stock units and bonuses.
