About the Role

We are thrilled to offer an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Statistical Analyst at our National Center office located in Dallas, TX. This position can also be home-based, offering flexibility and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts advanced data analysis using patient clinical or electronic health record data to address research questions in cardiovascular disease and health disparities.
  • Provides in-depth statistical analyses, including hypothesis testing, forecasting, and predictive analytics.
  • Collaborates with data engineers, scientists, project managers, clinicians, and domain experts to refine research questions and develop statistical analysis plans and reports.
  • Publishes research findings in high-impact journals and presents work at scientific meetings.
  • Serves as a technical and topical expert, fostering collaboration and consulting with Association stakeholders and external peers.
  • Leads cohort meetings and workshops for data science awardees and contributes to communication plans and strategies.
  • Attends relevant conferences and facilitates consultative sessions with volunteer Task Forces and other experts within the Association.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or PhD degree in biostatistics, data science, biomedical informatics, epidemiology, public health, computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in statistical analysis and modeling, including hypothesis testing and regression methods.
  • Three (3) years of experience in patient clinical data analysis, with proficiency in R programming (Python is a plus).
  • Experience with large-scale, complex data sets such as Electronic Health Records.
  • Strong computer skills, including database and software use, and expertise in crafting statistical analysis plans.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational abilities.
  • Less than 5% travel availability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Cardiovascular Data Analysis expertise.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or research environment.
  • Extensive experience publishing research findings in high-impact journals.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay range for this role is $80,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience. Geographic differentials may apply. We offer a competitive total rewards package that includes:
