Join Our Team as a Sr. Supervisor, Big Data Modeler at Orange Egypt

Purpose of the Job

We are looking for a skilled Data Modeler to facilitate the creation of innovative Logical Data Models using normalized (3NF) techniques, along with designing some Physical Model dimensional structures. This role is crucial for supporting Enterprise Data Analytics and decision-making processes at Orange Egypt. As a Data Modeler, you will spearhead the enforcement of architectural standards and logical modeling best practices. You will conduct modeling sessions across IT and business groups throughout the enterprise, defining and documenting business definitions and relationships for Enterprise data.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Create both Logical and Physical data models with Embarcadero ER/Studio, employing IDEF1X specifications and 3rd Normal Form for OLAP and OLTP systems.
2. Establish and enforce best practices and governance standards for normalization, data classification, and quality data solutions for our Enterprise Data Warehouse.
3. Lead modeling sessions with project teams across all business units, gathering and defining data requirements for the Enterprise Data Model.
4. Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to transform Subscriber Data Requirements (SDR) into a logical model, providing clearly-written business definitions for logical entities and attributes in a manner accessible to a broad business audience.
5. Enforce architectural standards and provide training to Developers, Technical Leads, Project Managers, and Systems Analysts on best practices for Enterprise Data Warehouse Design.
6. Conduct light Data Analysis and Data Profiling using SQL queries on metadata as required.

Education & Experience Required

Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

Experience: 4 - 6 years in data modeling, statistical analysis, and data manipulation.

Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of ER/Studio, Teradata, and SQL. Experience in crafting business definitions and logical models in third-normal form is crucial. A quick grasp of new concepts, along with knowledge in Inmon and Kimball approaches to Data Warehouse and Data Mart architecture, will be highly appreciated.
