Your Role: Staff Autonomy Software Engineer

As a Staff Autonomy Software Engineer, you will:

  • Collaborate in a specialized team focused on evolving Archer's autonomous flight technology.
  • Turn high-level concepts into actionable, achievable tasks.
  • Develop and test simulations and technology demonstrators to validate and showcase new ideas.
  • Design, implement, and validate critical software across simulations, drone testbeds, and full-scale aircraft.
  • Work proactively with suppliers, partners, and regulatory bodies to develop essential technology components.
  • Stay at the cutting edge by evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends in autonomous systems.

Who We Are Looking For

Candidates who are passionate about autonomous technologies, problem-solving, and possess:

  • Over 10 years of professional experience in the Aerospace/Automotive industry.
  • Demonstrated skill in designing, implementing, and validating software for autonomous systems.
  • Proficiency in languages such as C++, Python, Matlab.
  • A broad understanding of sensors used in autonomous systems, like INS, radars, and Lidars.
  • Strong grasp of computer architecture and embedded software principles.
  • An ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • A degree in engineering or a related field.

Benefits & Compensation

We offer competitive salaries targeted between $151,680 and $189,600, commensurate with skills and experience. At Archer, our pay-for-performance culture means we reward efforts that directly contribute to our business objectives and technological achievements.
