In the Growth Engineering team at Max, our multidisciplinary group of data engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, and software engineers strive to enhance viewer engagement and subscriber growth. We focus on optimizing customer interactions through rapid experimentation, directly boosting our key acquisition and retention metrics and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data engineers.
• Contribute to the engineering community by writing and publishing content or presenting at respected conferences.
• Design and develop a data platform to address diverse business needs efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Drive innovations in scalability, resilience, and reliability across our data platform.
• Liaise with a broad team of specialists to design systems for elastic scaling.
• Ensure high data quality and accessibility for business analysis and decision-making.
• Develop and enforce best practices in data engineering and security.
• Support the operational aspects of the platform on a 24x7 basis.
• Hire and mentor a world-class engineering and analytics team.
• Manage cloud resources efficiently to optimize costs.

What to Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Over 12 years of experience in software and data engineering.
• Proven abilities in large-scale data processing and platform management.
• Deep expertise in OLAP databases, real-time processing frameworks, and microservices.
• Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS, and modern development tools and practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex project requirements.
