Role Spotlight: Staff Data Engineer - Data Architect (Hands-on)

We are searching for a Staff Data Engineer with a keen focus on data architecture. You will play a pivotal role in driving our data-centric initiatives, designing robust data models supporting Data Science and Business Intelligence, developing APIs, and ensuring seamless data integration across our systems.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will design and implement sophisticated data structures, manage APIs, monitor data pipelines, and collaborate with various teams to meet business and technical requirements. Your expertise will support our strategic goals, delivering top-tier data solutions to enhance our operations and customer engagement.

Who You Are

Ideal candidates will have an advanced degree in Engineering or Mathematics and at least 7 years of experience in data engineering or a similar field. Proficiency in Python, experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka or Kinesis, and a solid background in using SQL within cloud environments (AWS preferred) are crucial. Familiarity with GDPR and CCPA is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

  • Mastery in multiple data modeling techniques (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault)
  • Strong Python development skills, with experience in frameworks such as Flask
  • Comprehensive knowledge of big data technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, Vertica)

Benefits & Compensation

The starting annual pay range for this role in Texas is estimated between $140,000 and $180,000. Compensation packages are highly competitive, tailored according to location, knowledge, and experience, and may include bonuses and equity awards.
