The Opportunity

If you enjoy tackling complex business problems and leveraging data to find meaningful insights, join our Product and Customer Analytics team at Adobe! As a part of our high-impact, high-visibility team, you will be instrumental in quantifying and optimizing the product experience for our customers through data science.

We are seeking a Staff Data Scientist to drive the adoption and utilization of our Experience Cloud products. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, superior communication, and project management skills. Your work will help product, marketing, and engineering teams achieve operational efficiencies, lower customer churn, increase user engagement, and facilitate product-led growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, marketers, and developers to analyze clickstream data and generate valuable insights.
  • Measure changes in user engagement to drive customer growth and retention.
  • Work with causal inference and machine-learning experts to measure the impact of new product features and user engagement programs.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to automate data pipelines and scale experimentation and user analytics.
  • Build relationships across the Experience Cloud business unit to promote team capabilities and drive impact.

Qualifications for Success

  • Experience in building and deploying Machine Learning models on platforms like Databricks.
  • Strong understanding of Statistics & Hypothesis Testing.
  • 10+ years of experience in data science or related fields.
  • Proficiency with statistical programming software like Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and/or R (dplyr, ggplot2).
  • Experience with large data sets using SQL and/or SQL-like languages.
  • Collaboration with Data Engineers to set up ETL/Data Pipelines and automate projects.
  • Ability to translate analysis results into business insights and recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a multi-functional team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Proficient in using Apache Spark for big data processing and analytics.
  • Good understanding of experimental design and measurement (A/B Testing).
  • Familiarity with Web Analytics/Clickstream data.
  • Knowledge of B2B analytics or B2B customer lifecycle.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. markets. The annual U.S. pay range for this position is $140,200 - $267,600, with pay varying based on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter will provide specifics during the hiring process.

For sales roles, starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), while non-sales roles include base salary and short-term incentives as part of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). Long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award may also be available for certain roles.
