About the Role

Ramp is seeking a visionary Staff Data Scientist to lead the future of data science within our organization. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the helm of shaping our product and operational strategies. Your expertise in data science will guide the development and refinement of Ramp's onboarding and activation processes, directly enhancing the customer journey and our internal operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and refine Ramp’s product research and experimentation frameworks, guiding projects from hypothesis through to implementation and analysis.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to contribute to the product roadmap, turning complex business needs into clear, data-driven opportunities.
• Apply advanced statistical techniques to address customer challenges and analyze large, complex data sets.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and design to influence decisions and drive business outcomes.
• Enhance the data team culture by optimizing processes, tools, and systems that scale decision-making capabilities.

What You Need

• A degree in a quantitative field such as Math, Economics, Statistics, or Engineering, complemented by at least 8 years of industry experience as a Data Scientist.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with robust experience in predictive modeling and machine learning applications.
• A proven track record of leadership and implementing successful projects within growth and product-focused teams.
• An innovative approach to the entire experimentation lifecycle from design to testing.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment focused on technical solution development to business problems.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in a high-growth startup environment.
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools (e.g., Fivetran, Snowflake) and data orchestration platforms (e.g., Airflow, Dagster).

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $225,250 to $265,000, plus equity, benefits, and perks designed to support your lifestyle and well-being.
