About the Role: Data Scientist (Supply Chain Management System)

Our Inbound SCMS (Supply Chain Management System) team tackles complex problems using cutting-edge technology. The challenges include:

• Selecting the optimal products from various vendors
• Determining the quantity of each product to purchase
• Strategically placing inventory for the quickest delivery to customers
• Maintaining minimal inventory costs across our fulfillment centers

We seek a Data Scientist skilled in diverse Machine Learning (ML) techniques. Your role will involve developing, prototyping, and productionizing innovative models using a variety of methodologies (Supervised, Unsupervised, and Reinforcement Learning). Creativity in employing generative AI to pioneer new solutions for unprecedented challenges is crucial.

Key Responsibilities

• Exhibit comprehensive technical knowledge in feature engineering, exploratory data analysis, and model building using standard AI/ML models and Large Language Models
• Proficient in both Supervised (e.g., Linear/Logistic Regression) and Unsupervised algorithms (e.g., k-means clustering)
• Transform large datasets into actionable insights and develop significant analytics and marketing management solutions
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including business, engineering, and partner teams
• Continuously innovate by adopting new modeling techniques and procedures
• Work passionately with large datasets to answer vital business questions, demonstrating expertise in the creation and management of datasets
• Implement and operate robust, scalable, and reliable data flow solutions for end-user-facing applications/reports
• Utilize distributed machine learning and statistical algorithms to handle vast volumes of data at scale for customer-oriented services

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years as a data scientist or similar role involving data extraction, analysis, and statistical modeling
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
• Experience with statistical models, such as multinomial logistic regression
• Proven expertise in deep learning, including hosting and deploying ML solutions for training, tuning, and inference

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with AWS tech stack (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3, EC2, Glue)
• Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, computer science)
• Hands-on experience with generative AI and deploying Large Foundational Models
