Job Description: Staff Hadoop Administrator - Cloudera / Big Data

Role Overview

As a Staff DevOps Engineer-Hadoop Admin in our dynamic Big Data Federal Team, you are key in managing and supporting our growing private cloud infrastructure. This vital role ensures high availability and robust performance of the ServiceNow Platform across ServiceNow and Azure Cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of Big Data infrastructure.
• Architect and drive end-to-end Big Data deployment automation using industry-leading tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Kubernetes.
• Enhance Big Data systems and applications via continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Ensure data security and governance in all managed big data environments.
• Collaborate across teams to address and troubleshoot complex issues.

Experience and Qualifications

• 6+ years in technology with 4+ years in DevOps, focusing on Hadoop ecosystem.
• Profound knowledge of Hadoop components like HDFS, Hive, and YARN.
• Proficiency with security setups involving Kerberos, LDAP, and similar technologies.
• Expertise in scripting with Perl, Python, Bash, Groovy, and Java.
• Familiarity with Linux internals and shell scripting.
