Position: Staff Machine Learning Engineer

What You’ll Do:

• Create models driving value for users, advertisers, and Snap Inc.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs for each decision
• Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality standards
• Build robust, scalable, and lasting products
• Quickly iterate without compromising on quality

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms
• Excellent prioritization and independent working skills
• Ability to collaborate with both internal and external partners
• Proficiency in solving open and ambiguous problems
• Strong collaboration and mentorship skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• 8+ years of industry experience in machine learning

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, scikit-learn
• Experience in machine learning, ranking infrastructures, and system design

Compensation

Pay zones in the United States determine our salary ranges, based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These zones are subject to change:

• Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $222,000-$333,000 annually
• Zone B: $211,000-$316,000 annually
• Zone C: $189,000-$283,000 annually

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
