About the Role: Staff Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Staff Machine Learning Engineer to anchor our AI and Knowledge Engineering team. In this role, your expertise in AI, ML, NLP, and large-scale systems will directly contribute to our mission of perfecting the customer experience through innovative technology solutions. This includes working with Knowledge Graphs, LLMs, and multi-modal models to transform e-commerce interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and implement self-learning inference, recommendation systems, and interactive agents.
- Develop and refine large language model-based systems and multi-modal deep learning models tailored for e-commerce contexts.
- Lead initiatives to build and maintain end-to-end AI pipelines for foundational model applications.
- Mentor team members on advanced AI frameworks and methodologies, ensuring best practices in security and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Over 10 years in software engineering with at least 3 years in building AI/ML solutions at scale.
- Expertise in deploying and fine-tuning large language models, with a solid understanding of transformer architectures.
- Strong coding skills in Python, and experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, along with big data tools like Spark and BigQuery.
- Previous work with AWS, Azure, or similar platforms, and familiarity with inference platforms.
- Passionate about driving innovation in machine learning, NLP, and large language models.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation package is designed to attract the best talent across various geographies. Salaries range from $138,000 to $297,000 annually, based on your location and experience. Additionally, you’ll enjoy:
