About the Job

As part of Google, we drive innovation through a diverse portfolio of research projects. We support individuals and teams, giving them the freedom to pursue specific types of work that span fundamental research, new product innovation, and infrastructure goals.

As a Research Scientist, you will:

  • Set up and manage large-scale tests, deploying promising ideas rapidly.
  • Apply the latest theories to develop new and improved products, processes, or technologies.
  • Work on real-world problems across computer science, including machine learning, data mining, natural language processing, hardware and software performance analysis, and core search.

Our team focuses on developing foundation models for remote sensing imagery. We aim to simplify and enhance remote sensing tasks such as land use/land cover segmentation, object detection, and change detection. We also explore natural language interfaces for remote sensing imagery through vision-language models, including captioning and visual question answering.

Google Research aims to solve the technology challenges of today and tomorrow. From fundamental research to product development, our teams impact technology used by billions worldwide. We strive to make discoveries that matter, sharing our research and tools to fuel field progress. We publish in academic journals, release open-source projects, and apply research to Google products.
