About the Role

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Data Analytics to lead Clari Groove’s Analytics Platform development. Collaborating closely with engineers and product partners, you’ll enable customers to extract valuable insights from extensive data sets. You'll design and manage data pipelines, ensure high data quality, and set the groundwork for our new Analytics platform.

This is a remote position for candidates in Alberta, Ontario, or British Columbia. Only Canadian Permanent Residents or Citizens need apply, as we cannot provide sponsorship at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes for advanced analytics and reporting.
  • Create data models and schemas to support data warehousing and business intelligence efforts.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand and address data needs.
  • Implement data quality processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Optimize SQL queries to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, API endpoints, and visualizations to present data insights.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and techniques (e.g., Fivetran, dbt, Airflow).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Sisense).
  • Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Java) for scripting and automation.
  • Experience with in-app analytics and embedding analytics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with real-time data processing technologies like Apache Spark is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Salary for this role ranges from $165,000 to $247,000 CAD, depending on various factors, including work location, skills, experience, education, and certifications. Compensation also includes stock options and company-paid benefits.
