Job Description

In this role, you will be a part of the ServiceNow Cloud Services Big Data Team. The Big Data team is focused on devising our next-generation platform, which collects, stores, and provides real-time access to substantial amounts of data.

You'll be responsible for leading the design and implementation of ServiceNow's proprietary real-time data visualization and analytics platform to sustain ServiceNow's growth.

In this role, you will:

  • Bring your creativity and past experiences to help design and develop our next-generation data analytics platform using state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Lead a global engineering team in driving the entire product design and implementation process.
  • Standardize processes for the entire development cycle, including design, implementation, unit testing, code review, automated testing, etc.
  • Research and implement the right technologies to enhance the scalability and productivity of the engineering team.
  • Collaborate closely with critical stakeholders and product owners to guide the technical design for various use case requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, network, QA, etc.) to ensure a smooth transition from development to deployment.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Expert-level skills in JavaScript, particularly with ReactJS and NodeJS, in addition to Webpack or other modern UI frameworks, Java, and REST API development.
  • A minimum of 6 years of software development experience, along with strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Hands-on experience in designing data analytics products for enterprise, with a focus on high scalability and performance.
  • A background in data analytics, data visualization, BI tools, and the Hadoop ecosystem.
  • The ability to deliver high-quality software that has been unit tested, code-reviewed, and regularly checked in for continuous integration.
  • A solid background in complex SQL & data analytics.
  • An eagerness for learning and adopting new ideas and patterns.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge in Computer Science, especially in data structure, algorithms, and software design.

GCS-23

In the Bay Area positions, we offer a base salary ranging from $152,000 to $266,000, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation. Please note that the base pay provided serves as a guide, and the actual total compensation will depend on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and job location. Health plans including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with a company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time off plan, and family leave programs are also offered subject to eligibility criteria. Compensation is dependent on the geographic location in which the role is based and may be adjusted based on job location.
