Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Be the go-to technical expert within your squad, ensuring best practices and architectural standards are upheld.
  • Solution Design: Lead architectural discussions and make key decisions on technologies, frameworks, and design patterns.
  • Code Quality: Advocate for high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code through regular reviews and team mentorship.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to transform requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strategy and Vision: Contribute innovative ideas to enhance our tutor-facing and tutor-supply platforms.
  • Problem-Solving: Address complex technical challenges and optimize existing systems for better performance.
  • Team Development: Mentor team members, supporting their technical growth and career development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record in complex systems.
  • Proficiency in Golang, Ruby, Python, or React is strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectures.
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud providers.
  • Expertise in multiple web or web services technology stacks, along with a willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to take ownership, including coding and code reviews.
  • Ability to implement customer-facing solutions that meet their real needs.
