Role Overview

We seek a Staff Software Validation Engineer to join our Trusted and Security Products Engineering team. This pivotal role will contribute significantly to Intel's strategic software initiatives. As a member of our core validation team focused on quality engineering, you will develop validation strategies, test plans, and contribute to delivering high-quality, secure software for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design software validation strategies and develop tools and methodologies for validating Intel software products across various deployment environments (on-prem, cloud, hybrid) and solutions (SaaS).
  • Create and develop automation tests using the Python framework.
  • Enhance automation frameworks and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of functional and system testing plans based on a risk-based approach.
  • Focus on 100% automation strategy, ensuring all tests are automated and stable before execution.
  • Leverage the latest technologies like ML and Gen AI to increase developer productivity.
  • Promote continuous innovation and improvements, driving the team's technical growth.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 8+ years of experience, OR a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 6+ years of experience, OR a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 2+ years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in building and enhancing test automation frameworks.
  • 5+ years of developing comprehensive functional and non-functional test plans and test cases.
  • 3+ years of expertise in Python programming.
  • 3+ years of working experience with SaaS and cloud-based products.
  • 3+ years of experience with public clouds, IaaS, PaaS, and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ML and Gen AI LLMs.
  • Knowledge of key security concepts including cryptography, data encryption, key/certificate management, identity, and access management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • A fast learner with a growth mindset, able to deal with ambiguous situations, and committed to continuous innovation.

Salary Range

Annual salary range for this role is $144,501.00 - $217,311.00, depending on location and experience. This range is applicable to jobs performed in US locations such as Colorado, New York, Washington, and California.

Work Model

This position is available as a fully home-based role, generally requiring occasional visits to Intel sites based on business needs. It may also be available under our hybrid work model, allowing employees to work both on-site at an Intel site and off-site. The work model may change based on business requirements.
