About Your Role: Staff Threat Management Engineer

As a Staff Threat Management Engineer, your role involves shaping teams, processes, and capabilities to tackle information threats. You'll deliver innovative security solutions, manage complex issues, and promote collaborative growth.

Qualifications

Successful applicants must have:

  • Experience coordinating cybersecurity incident response activities
  • Advanced technical knowledge of adversary tactics and procedures
  • Proficiency in analytical development for adversary detection
  • Fluency in modern DevOps practices and coding
  • Ability to analyze complex events and communicate effectively
  • Skills in automation and continuous improvement prioritization

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the top escalation point for technical analysis and incident response
  • Monitor threats using industry-leading tools and collaborating with top analysts
  • Automate response capabilities to analyze data and artifacts on our systems
  • Identify gaps and establish a rigorous testing cadence for response capabilities
  • Collaborate on defense strategies with various teams
  • Analyze code to determine capabilities and intentions
  • Stay updated on industry developments and advise senior leaders
  • Mentor, train, and develop team members

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in areas like intrusion analysis, incident response, computer forensics, detection engineering, threat hunting, software development, threat intelligence, or malware analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity detection and incident response procedures
  • Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, identity services, Zero Trust security, cloud computing, or modern computing stacks
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Proficiency with open-source and commercial tools for investigations
  • Extensive IT experience in designing remediation plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Project and program planning, prioritization, and delivery skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience with languages like Python, PowerShell, C#, Java, or Scala
  • Deep expertise in cloud computing and digital identity
  • Experience in offensive security teams
  • Experience writing ETL pipelines for security data
  • Knowledge of advanced malware analysis techniques

Physical Requirements

This role offers fully-remote flexibility within the United States, with variations described during the recruiting process.

Compensation

The wage range for this role is $450,000 - $600,000, inclusive of base salary and discretionary bonuses. The expected base salary is 60%-70% of the
