An internship offer titled "Internship for the implementation of Low-PHY functions on AI engine technology (m/f)" has just opened within Airbus Defence and Space at its Palays site in Toulouse.
You will join a team of 30 people in the "Communication, RF, Control Engineering & Products" department responsible for all activities related to wireless communication systems (L1, L2, architecture, design, modelling, implementation)
Your internship will consist of implementing Low-PHY (5G) processing layers in SIMD (Single instruction, Multiple Data) type technologies.
Ideally, this 6-month internship will start in March 2024 (the period is given as an indication and may be revised).
This position requires a security clearance or eligibility for a clearance by the recognized authorities.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Your mentor will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in developing your skills. Your main tasks will be the following:
- Appropriation of AI engine technology from Xilinx cards
- Implementation of Xilinx tutorials
- Inventory of Low-PHY functions to implement
- Development of Low-PHY functions
- Validation on evaluation board
Your boarding pass:
Are you currently preparing a level Bac +5 degree (or equivalent) in the field of signal processing or a related discipline? Here are the skills you need:
- Solid training in signal processing / telecom
- Generic training in space applications and telecommunications systems
- Software development skills: good level of knowledge in C/C++ / Linux environment.
Language Skills Expected:
- English: Very good command of the English language
