About the Role

Ford Motor Company is currently undergoing a pivotal Supply Chain Transformation to enhance the availability and management of our top-tier products globally. To bolster this initiative, we're actively seeking a talented Supply Chain Data Software Engineer to join our dedicated IT Product team.

This role is instrumental in developing, implementing, and optimizing IT systems that support strategic business objectives across various units within Ford. The position involves comprehensive system development duties from software design and development through to deployment and post-launch enhancements.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Developing and integrating IT solutions utilizing agile methodologies that meet architectural patterns, performance needs, security protocols, and customer requirements.
• Handling integration planning and delivery, including Web services, APIs, and ETLs.
• Coordinating with team members to prepare and execute production builds, ensuring technical and business requirements are achieved.
• Leading data migration and conversion efforts.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring to other developers within the team.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proficiency in Java (Open JDK), Python, and experience with various databases.
• Demonstrated experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Function, Dataflow, Data Fusion, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and Compute Engine.
• Familiarity with software delivery tools like GitHub and Tekton.
• Experience in designing and developing large, complex applications including integration with multiple systems.
• Competence in Terraform for infrastructure scripting (IaC).
• Command over Linux environments and command-line operations.
• Understanding of cloud-native monitoring tools, file transfer automation, and communication processes (e.g., SFTP, HTTP/S, MQ).
• Knowledge of Master Data Management ecosystems and methodologies.
• Proven ability to work in a global, cross-functional team environment.
• Experience in DevOps practices.
