Ring is seeking a System Dev Engineer - Ring Imaging, based in Tampere, Finland.
The role of a System Dev Engineer includes responsibility for image quality development and validation. Working as part of Ring's device engineering team, the System Dev Engineer contributes during the product creation process.
At Ring, you'll have the opportunity to work with home security cameras. Currently, Ring has over 50 device models being sold globally. Our extensive range includes video doorbells, indoor and outdoor cameras, alarms, sensors, and car dash cameras.
In addition to various types of cameras, you'll also work in world-class camera laboratories equipped with specialized equipment such as monochromators, programmable light sources, automated test environments, 6-axis robots, optics measurement systems, and more.

Basic Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in computer science, automation technology, or a related technical field, or relevant work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a test or development role as part of a product development organization that has delivered consumer products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in camera image processing like 3A, demosaic, noise reduction.
- Experience with both objective image quality in laboratory environments and subjective image quality in real-world user scenarios.
- Experience in C/C++/Python software programming.
- Experience using cameras.
- Experience with camera technologies like sensors, optics, ALS, and LED.
- Genuine interest in camera technologies.
- Hands-on work attitude.
- Curiosity and eagerness to develop your skills.
