Job Description

Steer the future of data at Scalable Capital as the leader of our Data Engineering team. This vital role involves ownership of the analytics data stack, enhancing data accessibility for stakeholders, and spearheading initiatives that bolster a data-driven culture within the firm. Your contributions will be pivotal in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and innovations.

• Supervise and inspire a talented team of data professionals in our growing data department.
• Design and oversee the development of cloud-based data platforms on AWS, focusing on both analytics and business intelligence.
• Develop streaming and batch processing solutions, integrating data from internal and external sources.
• Champion the health and optimization of data pipelines and manage comprehensive data solutions including advanced analytics and AI.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists to craft dynamic dashboards and robust reporting frameworks.
• Address key business intelligence inquiries, providing actionable insights through adept data storytelling.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience in data engineering and managing high-performing teams.
• Expertise in AWS cloud services and building scalable data platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Python; familiarity with Java & Kotlin is advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with a knack for communicating data-driven insights.
• A good sense of humor and a proactive, positive approach to challenges.
