The Role of Our Informatics Platform

The Informatics Platform lies at the heart of DTU Biosustain, encompassing three key teams: Research Data Management, Data Science Platform, and Research Software Engineering. Together, these teams forge robust tools and processes to handle extensive data and promote sustainable, economically viable biochemical production methods. As the head of this platform, you will lead seasoned data scientists to innovate and progress our digital and analytical operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and strategize based on both center-wide and team-specific goals.
  • Lead, inspire, and manage a high-performing data science team.
  • Standardize and enhance data science procedures and frameworks.

While focusing on leadership, you will also have the hands-on opportunity to design and implement cutting-edge data science solutions, including bioinformatics pipelines crucial for multi-modal data interpretation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Advanced degrees (PhD or MSc) in Computational Biology, Computer Science, or similar fields.
  • Extensive knowledge of Python, statistical libraries, and machine learning.
  • Experience in omics and biological data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills in English and functional knowledge of Danish.
  • A passion for leadership and teamwork, with an eagerness to further develop management skills.
