This team is essential in providing APIs for data access, placement, and lifecycle management to meet the intensive demands of our AI research initiatives.
The Storage Infrastructure team at OpenAI ensures our storage systems are well-equipped in terms of capacity, throughput, and IOPs to support the groundbreaking work of our AI researchers. We prioritise scalability, reliability, security, and usability to manage data across multiple regions effectively.
As a TLM in our Storage Pillar, you will be at the forefront, leading a team dedicated to designing, building, and operating Exascale systems. These systems are critical in managing vast amounts of research data efficiently and reliably. Located in San Francisco, CA, this role benefits from a hybrid work model and offers relocation assistance.
If you have a robust understanding of distributed systems, strong programming skills, and experience in public clouds, particularly Azure, you could excel in this role. We value proactive individuals who foster a diverse and inclusive culture, communicate effectively, and are committed to team success. Experience with AI/ML workloads is a plus, but not required.
