Technical Architect - Data/Analytics - Vice President

Role Summary & Description

We are looking for an experienced Data/Analytics Architect to join our team at State Street. This pivotal role will involve designing and implementing advanced data solutions on our multi-cloud platform. The successful candidate will play a key part in developing our enterprise data strategy to build an AI-driven Data Fabric for our organization. Candidates should have a solid background in cloud-based data architectures, analytics, and big data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the enterprise data platform initiative, designing and implementing secure, scalable, and robust Intelligent Data Fabric across AWS and Azure platforms.
  • Lead the design and architecture of an enterprise-level low-code data fabric solution, enabling seamless integration into various standard technologies, databases, and toolsets.
  • Champion data strategies at an enterprise level for standardized data acquisition, warehousing, transformation, and multi-cloud analysis.
  • Evaluate and adopt new cloud technologies and services to enhance analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure data solutions comply with data privacy and security policies and regulations in collaboration with IT security teams.
  • Maintain a holistic view of data and information strategy, architecture, governance, processes, and flows.
  • Implement best practices for data governance and management within the cloud.
  • Integrate advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities into the existing data infrastructure.

Core/Must-Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience as a Data Architect with a proven track record in designing and implementing data solutions in cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience in building Data Lake/Data Lakehouse/Data Mesh/Data Fabric architectures.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Experience working with data technologies including Snowflake, DataBricks, Airflow, Kafka, Teradata, Hadoop, Spark, Amazon Redshift, etc.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and data integration techniques.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and their implementation in cloud environments.
