Job Description
- Work alone and as a team member in a client-based environment.
- Be self-motivated, flexible, and positively disposed.
- Excel in verbal and written communication and be meticulous in detail.
- Create tools to measure, track, collate, and visually represent manufacturing operations data.
- Maintain a reliable and automated data flow while designing tools for data analysis and visualization.
- Track upstream and downstream manufacturing production data including in-process sample data, release data, and third-party manufacturing data surrounding drug product manufacturing.
- Manage advanced data visualization dashboards and their corresponding datasets, supported by shared files or a database.
- May be required to create new automated solutions to minimize excessive or repetitious work. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and report any quality or other abnormalities.
- Participate in compulsory training activities.
- Provide general laboratory assistance as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Master's in a related field is preferred.
- Relevant experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, may be considered as a substitute for educational qualifications.
- Ability to manage moderate size spreadsheets with available tools (such as power query, macros). Proficiency in using common Microsoft software for such tasks.
- Experience in a data visualization application, like Tibco Spotfire or Tableau.
- Understanding of SQL as well as a programming language such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Can complete tasks within given deadlines maintaining accuracy.
Additional Information
The position is full-time, first shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm. We encourage candidates who currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance from Rensselaer, NY, and its surrounding areas to apply. Pay is $26.50-28.50 per hour.
