As a Tech Risk & Controls Manager in Infrastructure Platforms Central Risk, you will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating compliance and operational risks aligned with our firm’s standards. Your expertise will help ensure that implemented controls are effective, and compliance meets regulatory, legal, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, quantify, communicate, and manage technology risks with a focus on root cause analysis and solution recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Line of Business (LOB) technologists, assessments teams, and data officers to foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Execute control reporting and governance while offering senior management insights into control effectiveness.
  • Proactively monitor and evaluate control effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to strengthen risk posture and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage JIRA development, workflow, and dashboards to set sprint objectives and effectively distribute work identified by Data Analytics.
  • Harvest and standardize data from existing APIs and Dashboards for risk and control tasks.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations to track task completion and measure the impact of implemented controls.
  • Provide management with self-service tools for exploring and reporting on current key metric trends.
  • Conduct user-facing meetings to assist the risk and controls community with remediation work and automation changes.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in technology risk management, information security, or a related field.
  • Thorough understanding of risk management frameworks, industry standards, and financial regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in data security, risk assessment, reporting, control evaluation, design, and governance.
  • Ability to influence executive-level strategic decisions and translate technology insights into business strategies.
  • Expert skills in data transformation tools like Alteryx, Tableau, and QlikView/QlikSense.
  • Experience with data mining and machine learning using SQL, R, and Python.
  • Strong experience with JIRA workflows and project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with technologists, managers, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and execution skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver key presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CISM, CRISC, or CISSP.
  • Knowledge of AWS, data mining, statistical modeling, machine learning, and other advanced analytics methods.
  • Experience in a large financial or banking technology environment.
