Role Overview

As a Tech Risk & Controls Senior Associate in Infrastructure Platforms Risk, you'll play a crucial role in managing technology-governance aspects of Governance, Risk, and Compliance in line with our firm's standards. Utilize your comprehensive knowledge in risk management principles to assess, monitor, and implement effective controls. Your expertise in risk identification, control evaluation, and security governance will be instrumental in advising on complex situations and enhancing the firm’s risk posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor technology risks to ensure compliance with firm standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement effective controls.
  • Evaluate existing controls, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to mitigate risks.
  • Analyze complex situations and provide strategic advice on risk management strategies.
  • Document and manage work using JIRA.
  • Harvest data from existing APIs, dashboards, and other data extracts.
  • Validate, scrub, standardize, and blend incoming data.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations to track the completion and measure the impact of risk and control tasks.
  • Develop self-service tools for management to explore and report on key metrics trends.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in technology risk management, information security, or a related field.
  • Proficient in risk identification, assessment, and control evaluation with a strong understanding of industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Advanced experience in data transformation tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and QlikView/QlikSense.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in creating presentations for all levels of management.
  • Knowledge of technological development methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or other industry-recognized risk certifications.
  • Certifications in Data Analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau.
  • Familiarity with data mining and machine learning using SQL, R, and Python.
