About the Role

We are hiring a Test Automation Engineer to join our innovative team in the dairy industry. At Lely, we strive to fully automate daily agricultural processes, providing farmers the time to focus on what they love. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be an integral part of our scrum teams within Product Development, working on various Lely products using the Scrum/Agile methodology. Quality is our priority, and high-quality software is essential to our product offerings. Your responsibilities will include:

• Testing the functionalities of our robots using methodologies such as risk-based testing, integration testing, and detail testing, with the aid of colleagues, test cases, and system knowledge.
• Writing and automating test scenarios in Cucumber/Gherkin format for our automated tests.
• Building and maintaining the test automation pipeline and infrastructure.
• Analyzing test results data and providing feedback to and from engineers.
• Giving detailed, substantiated advice based on test results to your team.
• Involvement in new features for Lely products and associated software applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent thinking level.
• Several years of relevant experience as a developer or test (automation) engineer in embedded software.
• Experience in test development and execution, from the realization phase to the chain and acceptance phase.
• Experience working in agile scrum teams.
• Knowledge of behavior-driven testing and test automation tools (e.g., Behave, Gherkin).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++ (Python preferred).
• Experience with Bash, Linux, GIT, and CI/CD pipelines.
• TMAP/ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Dutch is an advantage).
