The Role The Test Data Engineer is responsible for assisting in the creation and availability of high-quality test data for the IT Testing operations of SBC. How you'll contribute - Collaborate with developers and other testing stakeholders to ensure test data meets business requirements - Aid in the development or procurement of testing tools/processes to ensure data meets the desired quality - Execute test data pipeline workflows end to end: data loads, data structures, data transformations, and overall data quality - Execute data integration testing to ensure accurate and efficient data ingestion and integration between source and destination; develop ideas for optimization of test data and corresponding processes - Research, train and promote new technologies and tools to ensure the latest trends are considered as part of the SBC's Testing Process - Foster a positive and cooperative digital delivery culture with a philosophy of continuous enhancement, advancement, innovation, and excellence, while remaining compliant with the bank's policies and procedures and maintaining the highest standards of professional behavior What we’re looking for - A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related courses - 2-5 years of experience in test data management, with emphasis on data architecture, data modeling, and data integration; prior experience in a financial services or banking organization is a plus - In-depth understanding of database management systems, data warehousing, and data integration techniques - Proficiency in SQL and at least one data management tool (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, etc.) - Proficiency in data masking and sub-setting techniques - Ability to work in a team and liaise with stakeholders to understand their data needs - Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) - Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) - Familiarity with data governance principles and practices - Understanding of best testing practices and techniques, such as unit testing, integration testing, and system testing. #hybrid
