Job Description

Are you an aspiring programmer, database expert, or coder? Do you have the enthusiasm to use your skills to assist in building tools for automating KPI reporting, data analysis, and providing interactive user-friendly tools?

Join us for your placement year in the summer of 2024! Our internships are structured to give you an awareness of what it's like to work for a globally renowned brand that fosters support and community.

We are seeking an individual to join our Logistics team to enhance our data usage in our operational activities. Ideally, you will have some knowledge or understanding of SQL, databases, and automation software. Collaborating with experienced logistics colleagues, we desire for you to assist us in accelerating our data analysis capability to facilitate decision-making and save time by automating KPI reporting and repetitive tasks.

We will equip you with the necessary tools to be inventive in your approach, utilizing Bosch's existing data sets and systems to aid your work.

Assist us in developing interactive tools for our teams using Powerbi/Power queries, tableau, or similar to enable the teams to interact with data and provide interactive user experiences.

The role is hybrid, working between home and Worcester.

Qualifications

Please note that you must be an undergraduate student seeking a placement year as part of your degree to be eligible for this role - if this criterion does not apply to you, please consider applying for other positions.

Our ideal candidate should:

• Have experience working with databases
• Have experience handling large data sets
• Python and HTML knowledge is highly preferable
• Have experience presenting data
• Have experience coding
• Have the ability to learn new software tools and conduct their own research to further develop their understanding and skills
• Be able to work as part of a team on various projects
• Have the ability to work independently on tasks with challenging deadlines
• Have a good working knowledge of MS tools, including Excel

The following skills & attributes would be a bonus but aren't essential for the role:

• SQL queries
• Oracle Databases
• APIs
• Powerbi

Additional Information

Expected Start Date: July 2024

Working Hours: 39 hours a week; Monday – Thursday 08.00 - 17.00 and Fridays 08.00 - 16.00 with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Location: The role is based on-site at the Worcester Bosch Distribution Centre.
