Job Description: Undergraduate Trainee - FinOps Power BI Analyst

As an Undergraduate FinOps Power BI Analyst, you'll be pivotal in supporting our financial operations team. You'll leverage data analytics and visualization tools to provide insights and enhance financial performance. Working closely with finance professionals, you'll understand their reporting needs and deliver actionable insights using Microsoft Power BI. Key responsibilities include:

Dashboard Development

Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize financial metrics, budget vs. actual figures, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).

Data Analysis

Extract, clean, and analyze financial data from various sources to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost optimization.

Cost Optimization

Identify cost-saving opportunities and inefficiencies through data analysis and collaborate with stakeholders to implement process improvements.

Collaboration

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to gather requirements and ensure alignment on reporting needs.

Continuous Improvement

Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in financial analytics and Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Expected Skills and Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization design is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
• Prior experience or coursework in financial analysis and reporting is advantageous.
