Job Opportunity: US - Data Science Consultant at KPMG India

Educational Qualifications and Experience

We prefer candidates with:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a technical or quantitative field from an accredited college or university. Advanced degrees (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Physics, Operations Research, or related fields are highly preferred.
• At least 4.5+ years of relevant experience in machine learning and statistical analysis.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates must possess the following skills and experience:

• Strong mathematical background with the capability to understand algorithms and methods both from a mathematical and an intuitive standpoint.
• Ability to translate business objectives into analytic approaches and identify data sources to support thorough analysis.
• Experience in analyzing structured and unstructured data using advanced statistical methods, deep learning, and Generative AI.
• Proficiency in performing exploratory data analyses, generating and testing working hypotheses, and identifying data patterns through historical analysis.
• Strong programming experience in Python and SQL and familiarity with working with both open-source packages and commercial/enterprise applications.
• Expertise in machine learning and statistical methods including regression, classification, clustering, ensemble and tree-based models, and time-series analysis.
• Proven experience with Generative AI, including using ChatGPT and other LLMs, and hands-on experience with Langchain/Llamaindex.
• Experience with cloud environments like Azure-databricks and Azure Document Intelligence.
• Effective communication skills to present results and educate others through detailed reports and presentations.

Preferred Experience

Asset management experience is a plus for this role.
