About the Team

As part of Walmart Global Tech's Enterprise Business Services, People Technology is integral to developing a robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and the Associate Digital Experience. We're dedicated to building stellar, scalable solutions with a focus on data quality and governance.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

• Develop high-performance and scalable solutions to extract, transform, and load big data.
• Design, build, test, and deploy cutting-edge solutions at scale, impacting millions worldwide.
• Support People Data applications ensuring data quality and governance standards.
• Collaborate with Walmart engineering teams globally to leverage expertise and contribute to the technical community.
• Implement data quality checks, data validation, and cleaning processes to ensure accuracy and high-quality data.

What You'll Bring

To excel in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in big data technologies and data pipeline development.
• Expertise in technologies like Hadoop, Apache Spark (Scala preferred), Python, Apache Hive, or similar frameworks, preferably on GCP or other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in building idempotent workflows using orchestrators like Airflow.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, optimization, and profiling, preferably in BigQuery or SPARK SQL.
• Excellent data modeling skills to design schemas accommodating evolving data sources.
