Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, Data Science, you will:

  • Design, model, develop, and implement advanced models and solutions for strategic planning and execution.
  • Execute analytical capabilities to assist business leaders in understanding optimization opportunities and metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to address problems, create efficiencies, and meet high organizational standards.
  • Engage regularly with software engineering teams and business leadership.
  • Research, develop, and deploy models that will inform inventory placement and allocation.
  • Work with specialized scientists in areas such as forecasting, recommendation, transportation, meta-heuristics, market analysis, and integer programming.
  • Drive modeling and technical design for complex business problems alongside engineering and operations teams.
  • Develop scalable optimization, mathematical programming, and heuristic methods to solve transportation challenges.
  • Lead complex modeling analyses to facilitate key business decisions and set new policies.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. (Or a Master’s Degree plus 3+ years of relevant industry or academic experience)
  • 3+ years of experience building machine learning or optimization models, or developing algorithms for business applications.
  • Expertise in applied optimization methods.
  • Experience in deploying optimization models into production systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience in an evolving work environment.
  • A personal interest in developing and researching new technologies with significant customer impact.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.

Location and Salary

The annual salary ranges for this position are as follows:

  • Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279/Bellevue, Washington US-11075: $132,000.00 - $264,000.00
  • San Bruno, California US-08848: $143,000.
