About the Position

As a Senior Visiting Research Engineer, you will be tasked with crafting revolutionary deep learning libraries optimized for large-scale distributed training systems. Your contribution will involve actively publishing cutting-edge research findings, committing high-quality, reproducible open-source code to the broader community, and directly influencing Meta’s products with the latest advancements in AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop clean and robust machine learning code.
• Engineer and enhance highly-scalable machine learning systems and tools.
• Contribute significantly to research community advancements through impactful publications.
• Utilize your deep knowledge of relevant research areas combined with expert coding skills for various platform and framework development projects.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 1 year of experience with deep learning techniques.
• Proven ability to develop machine learning algorithms or infrastructure using Python or C/C++.

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid research and software engineering background indicated by experience, participation in coding competitions, or notable open source contributions, preferably visible on platforms like GitHub.
• Co-authorship of influential papers at respected AI conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, EMNLP, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ACL, Interspeech, or ICASSP.
• A strong portfolio of contributions to open-source projects.
