The Role:

As the VP of Data Engineering, you will spearhead Tubi’s cutting-edge data teams, encompassing BI, data warehousing, and data infrastructure and platforms. This critical role involves close collaboration with Machine Learning Engineers, Product Managers, and Data Scientists to ensure the delivery of a resilient data architecture that meets dynamic data needs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a cohesive vision for Tubi’s data architectures such as data warehouses, BI, and ML data infrastructures.
• Implement robust data governance and retention policies.
• Scale and enhance the quality of the data engineering team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet their data requirements effectively.
• Ensure operational excellence and system reliability within the data management processes.
• Create and manage impactful data models, pipelines, dashboards, and visualizations in a live environment.
• Define and oversee SLAs for all data infrastructural systems and processes.
• Handle negotiations and maintain relationships with external data vendors.
• Develop cost-effective strategies for data infrastructure management.
• Coordinate with the Tubi infrastructure team to maintain secure and maintainable systems.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in leading and scaling data engineering teams; capable of managing teams of 30+ members.
• At least 10 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI, and Data Infrastructure.
• Strong foundational knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, and DBT.
• Advanced degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field are preferable.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential.

Location & Compensation:

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $246,000 to $394,000, location-dependent, with eligibility for an annual bonus, long-term incentives, and comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, 401(k), paid time off, and a generous parental leave program.
