JPMorgan Chase & Co., a global leader in financial services, is seeking a VP of Data Management within our Human Resources Data Analytics Office. This critical role involves overseeing data strategy, governance, risk management, and analytics to create meaningful insights that drive evidence-based decisions.

About the Position

As the Vice President of Data Management, you will operate within the HR Chief Data Analytics Office, managing data-related risks concerning data usage, retention, and privacy. Your role is vital in navigating the regulatory landscapes across various geographies, ensuring our data management strategies align with legal and privacy standards.

You will lead a team that plays a pivotal role across the firm, helping data users leverage employee data for wide-ranging projects. Your expertise will guide the Workforce Data Use Council in assessing data use cases and implementing best practices firm-wide.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and synthesize global team interdependencies across various regions and geographies.
• Review and prioritize data use requests considering deadlines, project timelines, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify legal, privacy, and reputational risks, designing frameworks to mitigate these risks effectively.
• Draft and continuously improve process documents for the data use council's review procedures.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in data governance, privacy regulations, risk, audit, or compliance.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior management and collaborate effectively.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, excellent time management, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Independent worker with creative problem-solving skills and an understanding of PII, metadata, and other data management concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other related tools.
