Position Overview

As a working student, you will contribute up to 20 hours per week, delving into the intricacies of geoinformation systems within our cutting-edge projects and gaining valuable insights into the diverse processes at 50Hertz.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting web map applications in the Geosolutions environment.
• Assisting with tools like QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, PostGIS, and Python.
• Documenting technical processes and learning materials.
• Conducting functionality and plausibility tests of web map applications.
• Testing and debugging in Mapstore and GeoServer/GeoNode code.
• Collaborating with the team, including reviewing technical specifications and further developing web map applications.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Current full-time student in Geodesy, Geoinformatics, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of desktop GIS applications such as QGIS and ArcGIS Pro.
• Initial programming experience, preferably with Python.
• Familiarity with databases, particularly PostgreSQL + PostGIS.
• Ability to work structured and independently while integrating well into teams.
• Enthusiasm for learning.
• Proficient in German (C1 level) and strong English skills (B2 level).
